Kerbey Motors, steeped in history

Kerbey Motors was founded in 1944 by Albert Mountain in Poplar, East London, focusing on truck sales and vehicle scrapping. After being relocated due to post-war development, the business moved several times through Essex, expanding into larger yards to accommodate a growing trade in heavy haulage vehicles.

After Albert’s unexpected passing in 1975, his son (also named Albert) took on the responsibility of reviving the Kerbey Motors name in the 1980s.

He re-established the business, initially dealing vans and trucks, many sold to the Channel Islands, before expanding into used recovery vehicle sales through connections with Boniface Engineering. In 2005, he relocated to Aberdeen and successfully operated a haulage company serving the oil and gas industry with a fleet of modern trucks. He now continues the Kerbey Motors legacy—over 80 years strong, focusing on sales of both modern and vintage commercial vehicles, plant, and machinery, building on a reputation for honesty and genuine service.
